Thank you for not apologizing for your anger. It's necessary and it's powerful.

Just finished reading this and was snapping the entire time. Thank you for reminding us that we don’t have to be sorry for shit or not mad/angry about things people do and say to us as Black women.

Yes!!! I’m so glad this resonated! And for real - I feel like too long I had a play along hoping respectability will save me - but not anymore!

I LOVE how you said people hating Black people and Black women has nothing to do with you 👏🏻 The trope of the angry Black woman is just another thing that has nothing to do with you. It was created to keep you silent and it’s squarely an us problem (white ppl). I can relate to your simmering anger and applaud you for refusing to apologize for it

Yesssss, I heavily relate to this. It’s always been so hard for me to claim my anger as a Black Woman out of fear of being stereotyped. But it’s like as times passes I really start to realize that’s the point. They want us to be numb and afraid and I REFUSE to dishonor the my ancestors by dishonoring my rage.

IM FUCKING MAD AND I AINT GONNA APOLOGIZE FOR THIS FUCKED UP SYSTEM because ANGER is the only emotion that ever MOBILIZED shit.

Thank you so much for this, we need this reminder onnna daily
